The Dorsett Mongkok was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. How many hotels do you know give you a free cell phone during your stay in which you can make free international calls to certain parts of the world and can be used as a mobile hotspot which meant I could have wifi on all my devices whenever I wanted as long as I had the phone with me. They also had amazing staff who made my stay incredible.
During my stay I was able to visit Goldfish Street also known as Tung Choi Street between Nullah Road and Bute Street, this is where you’ll see various kids of fish in small plastic bags which hang outside the shops. Near by was Fa Yuen Street where you can buy clothing, food and souvenirs, it can get really crowded during the busy hours.
The next day I made my way over to the Tsim Sha Tsui area with my luggage in hand to meet Marla and Kisha where we later on had brunch at Galley Cafe & Dining.
After our meal we made our way on the MTR to head over to see the Lantau Island and visit the Tian Tan Buddha statue. Kisha sent us this link to buy discounted tickets online:http://www.klook.com/activity/45-ngong-ping-360-hong-kong/ We were able to ride the Ngong Ping 360 cable car which was a 25 minute ride, and see the Po Lin Monastery and the Wisdom Trail
We had to climb 268 steps to get to see the beautiful Big Buddah statue at the very top. Although we were all craving hamburgers afterwards the climb was still worth every calorie we burned.
